PEBA Night: This Time, I Won!

It was late and I was about to sleep that night when I decided to check my email and found a few but one interesting email I found was from Yanah and it was entitled PEBA Night. It was a few days before the awards night so I thought that I am just being informed that I am once again a finalist and that I have to book seats for me or my representatives. I decided to read it anyway.

The first paragraph totally surprised me (yes, it's the only word I can think of right now). I have to read it four more times just to be sure I am reading it right. And confirmed it, okay not really - I called my wife and let her read the letter - just to be sure. And she said "Wow!" almost waking-up Ize who is sleeping soundly that time. What a way to confirm it.

Those times, I was so busy with our church's events and my studies so imagine how I was feeling not being able to concentrate on both. "The award wasn't even mentioned" I told myself. I read my article one more time and try to get a feeling and pretended to be a PEBA judge just to seek or guess how worthy my entry is of such honor - what ever it is they'll be awarding me.

I have to admit that I am not that self-confident most of the times. I may have shared a few pointers here on how you can get confidence but it was like a reminder to myself. I even find my blog boring most of the time and having a religious or Bible inspired blog doesn't really attract most blogger or readers. Most people would rather read funny blogs, rumors, entertainment or sports.

I remembered that I've sent my sister last year to be my representative but not at PEBA's but of Philippine Blog Awards - I didn't win anything but I became a finalist, o yes I was also a finalist at PEBA's last year. I can almost guess how my sister will react when I tell her to go to the awards night- she'll probably tease me and tell me that she'll be going there again and not receive anything so before she could say anything I told her - This Time, I Won!

Baul's First Major Award!

Baul ni Noel wishes to thank the PEBA Team for all the efforts in making OFW's voice be heard in Strengthening OFW Families. And to all the judges and coordinators for making the event successful. And lastly, for choosing us as No. 4 among the Top 10 Outstanding Blogs: OFW Category. Congratulations to all the winners.

This was my very first major award and I wish to dedicate it to our Lord, Jesus Christ. I also wish to share this award to my family, friends and dear blogger friends and to all followers of Baul ni Noel.

More story and pictures on my next post. God bless you all and congratulations to all the winners.

Most Funny and Most Spiritually Inspiring Award goes to....

Okay as I've promised, wait did I promise anything? Anyway, whatever! I have reviewed a few blogs I've been following so here are the awards that I'll be presenting with great honor (NO!, I am not competing against PEBA - this is just a personal commendation). So here are the Baul's Tresured Blogs:

Treasured Blog for Most Funny Blog

Pluma ni Jepoy - the blog that ultimately made me laugh when I am quite down. Jepoy, I am not kidding when I said those words. His blog is purely a substance of his experiences in life, SexyErotic&Untamed (wala ako maisip na one word for that eh, ah teka WILD haha!) - No, I am not mocking you, Jepoy. Your sexyness is one of a kind hehe!. You can almost see him in his blog by the way he writes and relays his stories which makes you say "that's Jepoy for you! harhar!". The most friendly blogger I have ever seen, yes that's true.

Treasured Blog for Most Spritually Inspiring Blog
Online Mommy's Corner - I've already made a review about her blog but for the sake of my readers not going back and fort my pages I'll tell you about her blog - again!. Her blog is mostly about life experiences and obstacles in life that she has encountered and in the end of the article she will inspire readers by sharing the practical application of what she have learned from God. Her blog also features some educational articles with regards to blogging and earning money online. Okay, I am not giving her this award because she has given me an award, this award is given with utmost sincerity. Mommy Mylene, your blog inspires me!

Inspirational Life Quotes - Another Mommy blog! Mommy Chin-chin is the moderator for this blog. Like Mommy Mylene, her blog is filled with spiritual inspirations and it is more like a Bible Study Blog. When down spiritually, you'll find yourself filled or should I say enlightment fills your heart when you read her articles. And with references from the Bible, people will find her blog educational as well, in terms of religious study.

Visit their sites and you'll know the reason for this awards. Okay, two awards would be enough for today. So awardees, grab your buttons and please put a link back to this article as a proof of why Baul ni Noel awarded you.

Baul's First Award

First of all, I'd like to thank Mommy Mylene (No she's not my mom nor my special someone. She's a fellow-blogger, friend and a sister in Christ) of Online Mommy's Corner for awarding this blog the "A Blog With Substance" Award. I received the award last July 6, 2010. It is my first award so I'd like to make a special post for her - a Blog Review.

Online Mommy's Corner is made from Wordpress and is residing under her own domain (how I wish I can spend that much for my own blog as well). The blog is well-designed since it is an official theme from Wordpress, just fit for a mommy blog. She loves sharing her life experiences and obstacles that she encounter and lets the reader know that in everything that happens to them/us (good or bad), God is always there to answer our prayers and if God answered "NO", atleast God will lighten our burdens. By the way, like my blog, hers is also monetized which means she is earning money from blogging. The blog is frequently updated, and I mean FREQUENTLY! (that I think is because she has an online job and I think it's a full-time job).

You can visit her site and be enlightened by her blog as well. It is good to know and to find people who share the same thoughts as you. We share the same thoughts in some way, like in sharing the word of God through our blogs.

About the award, once again thank you Mylene. I know that it says on her blog that I have to pass this award to 10 other bloggers who I know that has a substance. I hate to tell you this guys but I won't do it. Instead of doing that, I'll be awarding blogs that has a different criteria. I have already made the award banner, so wait for it. I'll probably start with the blogs that I follow and people that is also following my blog.
