Hongkong 2009 Vacation: Day 3

Since we're on our way to our vacation (my exit in Saudi Arabia) this June, I try to reminisce my last vacation which was last 2009. It's been a long time since I've had a real vacation and this coming vacation, hopefully it will be good one too. We have plans on great places to go but it's another story to tell for another day. Okay let me just continue the story of our Hongkong trip.

After our Day 1 and Day 2 adventure, we figured we could use a little rest while enjoying our day. So we decided to enjoy the hotel's rooftop pool. It's not really the only thing we did for that whole day, it's just one of the things we did. We decided to start the day with a breakfast and then had fun swimming at the pool - it's relaxing and full of fun at the same time. It's like two birds in one stone.

After having fun at the pool we went out and decided to get a peek of "The Peak". Near our hotel is the Peak Tram, it was just a bus ride to go there. What's cool is that you'll get a preview of Madame Tussauds' wax sculpture on Peak Tram terminal, Jacky Chan welcomed us there. It was amazing how they made it really life-like.
When we reached the top, we went inside the mall where you can find Madame Tussaud's wax museum. If you want to go inside it will cost you, for us we were quite content on having a picture with Jacky Chan and Bruce Lee who's just waiting for us at the museum's entrance.
We did a few browsing at the shops, funny thing is it kinda feels like you are in Greenhills, Makati-Philippines. We bought a few cute souvenirs and decided to go up "The Peak" - hey it's what we came for. Just check out the rest of the peak tram adventure we had.
And so you thought our third day would be all about relaxation, it's about to get more busy. I'll probably have to make a part 2 of the third day. For now, hope you enjoy our adventure. Don't worry, I'll do part two tomorrow or should I say later (It's morning already!). Good day to you all and God bless.

Wow! Jacky Chan is my fave Asian actor. It really looks like him. Ahm.. younger version of him. So, how much did it costs for the whole trip? It's a nice cityscape you've got in there. I can feel that you're enjoying so much with it. It is an awesome adventure!

The view from Victoria Peak is really breathtaking. We hiked up there and took the tram going down. One of our most awesome experiences in HK. Would have loved to have a photo with Bruce Lee. Never knew his wax figure's just outside the musum.

glad you enjoyed your Hongkong trip with the family! your post reminds me that I should start writing about my trip to Hongkong last August 2011 with my friends. and oh lucky you taking that picture with Jackie Chan i think it was allowed in 2009. When we went there in 2011 even if you pay for the entrance for Madame Tassuads, you can't have a picture on your camera with Jackie Chan. You will have to buy their overpriced picture hehe so we didn't bother. bummer di ba?

what a nice family bonding. We'll watch out the sequel of this post. But I want your pics to be a little larger, can you? I could appreciate it more that way. Have a great day.

Wow! Nice family trip :) Always wanted to go there.

Didn't know there is a Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum there. Went to the Las Vegas one. It's great!

Bigger pictures would be great! :D

@Mai - we'll probably try it the next time we visit HK or any place with Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

@Blanca - yes we did have a blast.

@maryjane, @msairrapingol - thanks

@rom - we stayed in HK for 6days and 5nights and it costs us less than $1000 coz the tickets are free from my previous company.

@tess - too bad but you can always come back and take pictures.

@Gemma - yes, I don't think I'll ever enjoy a trip without my family with me.

@hippie mum - probably they took it out for a special occasion. I was told they choose random characters to be displayed outside.

@mhe-ann - you should, it's always fun to check back your old adventures.

@yani, @argee - thanks, to view a larger pic just click the photos.

@marri - yes it does, thanks.

@markpogi - yeah, it's cool and kinda freaky hehe!

Jacky Chan and Bruce Lee are all my martial artists favorite. I like their style, their agility and their cleanness in doing their role. I miss BL. Btw, your vacation is a wholesome one, especially immersing in the cool water of the rooftop pool.

I went to HK with my mom, brother and aunt in 1994...never went back and have really no plans to go back. So thanks for sharing your pix...frankly it really hasn't changed much except for some added attractions like disneyland and the wax museum ;)

@Gil - yes, we didn't waste our time and made use of all our time.

@merlmd - it's probably because you've been to better places, it happens. For us it was the best place we've been.

@lalala - it is very well worth the saving, i know you'll enjoy it too.

@bayenmd - yeah us too

Thanks to all of you for visiting and taking time to comment. God bless and take care.
