Quiet Time 10002 - Romans 5: 8

Our Quiet Time verse for today is:

Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Yesterday was my day-off at the same time it is a family day so I was so busy enjoying that moment with them. I didn't even have time to post my Quiet Time verse yesterday. Thanks Nelson of "Soy Negrense" for being part of my first QT verse study.

In this verse we'll see how God have shown his love toward us. Notice that the phrase "while we were yet sinners" was brought up here. The reason it was said is because even before the time we knew Him, even before the time we have heard of His name, even before the time we've sensed His presence and even the before the time we have accepted Him as our own personal savior- He loved us already. He is the one who first loved us.

How? By sending his own begotten son - Jesus Christ as our savior, as the sacrificial lamb for our sins, as our redeemer, to die on the cross for us and to live again to fulfill His promise and to fulfill the prophesy (Psalm 22). We don't have the power to save ourselves coz we are all sinners and we are unable to reach His glory (Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.). And since we can't reach His glory, He gave us Jesus in order for Him to reach us. And that is how God loved us.

God bless you all.
