Prayers for Everyone

Feeling spiritually weak? Do you feel the world is against you or things start to crumble and you can't do much but watch it happen? You can follow this prayer.

In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
       let me never be put to shame;
       deliver me in your righteousness.

(Because we can't do anything without him, we put ourselves below Him)

Turn your ear to me,
       come quickly to my rescue;
       be my rock of refuge,
       a strong fortress to save me.

(Because He is our only refuge and the only one who can save us, a strong foundation of our faith)

Since you are my rock and my fortress,
       for the sake of your name lead and guide me.

(Coz He is the truth, the only way, the life and the light that can guide us)

Free me from the trap that is set for me,
       for you are my refuge.

(Because He knows what is ahead us, He is our great protector and an all-knowing God)

Into your hands I commit my spirit;
       redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth.

(Because submitting to Him means great trust. Great trust to the only one who can redeem us.)

I hate those who cling to worthless idols;
       I trust in the LORD.

(Because others put things in front of them like jobs, TV, movies, chores or even family OVER God.)

I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
       for you saw my affliction
       and knew the anguish of my soul.

(Because He sees everything in us, He knows our heart)

You have not handed me over to the enemy
       but have set my feet in a spacious place.

(Because He puts us on a safe place, we know that it is US who keeps looking for trouble by doing things OUR WAY and not HIS WAY)

Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
       my eyes grow weak with sorrow,
       my soul and my body with grief.

(Because we our weak, we know in Him we find strength, we find mercy.)

- Amen

We have a faithful God and the reason we find ourselves in trouble is because we allow ourselves to compromise our faith by going the other way.

Let's be thankful God doesn't punish us by our inequities or the weight of our sins. If God did punish us according to our sins then we should have been dead along time ago.

When we go to God and ask our prayers;
  • Let us bow down with HUMILITY and address Him with the highest authority over us (O Lord).
  • Submit to His will and let Him guide us.
  • Let us put Him above all other things in our life (lovelife, family, jobs, leisure, etc..).
  • Be thankful because of His continued faithfulness to us, even when we were not faithful to Him.
Now, be patient and wait for His answers. Better to ask God for discernment as well, so that we would know that whatever is in front of us now - it is God's will and find acceptance in our heart whatever it is.

@onlinemommy - thanks ulit sa pagdaan, sorry kung di mo makita yung email subs. I am new to Feedburner and I still am learning how I can make use of it.

@The Pope - uy! thank you very much for finding my article inspiring. Actually, I have an update for this and I am still updating it to make it more credible by adding other reference verses to each verse.
