Yesterday, I watched a really hillarious movie entitled "The Grown Ups". You put all the best comedians in one movie and this is what happens. Actors Adam Sandler, Kevin James (one of my favorite comedian from TV series King of Queens), Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider made this movie so good. It is a must-see for everyone.
The movie was very entertaining and at the same time you'll learn some great values. I tried to filter it if it is really for family, probably in US standards but not for Filipino standards. I don't want kids learning to bad mouth and talk back to adults same way the children was shown here. One of the great lessons in the movie was their friendship and the other one is the value you get from losing. It's not all about winning.
Chris Daughtry never won the grand title of the American Idol but look at how famous he is now. Same goes to other American Idol "losers" who are very popular now. They were never really losers, they were winners.
Sometimes we really need to learn how to lose before we learn how to win. These times were difficult for me and my family and I've been feeling a bit down, okay a bit more down lately. I am actually desperate at finding the best solution for our crisis right now. It's been like this since late 2009 and our company is still in a desperate situation. And now there is a new management. I remember trying to reason out with that person before but he was to unreasonable and now that he is the big boss and his first move was to chop-off people. I don't mind being chopped-off but they should give me my benefits or atleast give me a release (much better). We are on a point where staying is also a burden (thank God Leah was blessed with an opportunity). If there were other opportunities in my hand, I would have left them (my company) with haste.
I know God works in mysterious way and all things work together for good to all those who love Him. I know it is not a losing battle in front of me and if it is, I'll win something greater beyond my expectation.
This also proves that being an OFW means to live in wealth nor to struggle. Being an OFW is a commitment. A commitment to your family.
