Ask, Seek and Knock for 2010

ASK and it will be given to you;
SEEK and you will find;
KNOCK and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7: 7-8

Have you received what you have asked God for 2009? If not, did we do it the right way?

Some people ask God for something but didn't do a thing to achieve it - Spoon-fed! Yes, sadly we turn-out to be like the same person we hate sometimes. It happens usually because we are a natural self-centered person. The reason we are branded kind and unselfish person is because we think before we act. Before I do something, I think what good does it do to me and then I ask myself, will it do good to others.

Here is a quick guide for us on how we ask God for a blessing.

ASK - it means to commune with God, talk to Him. Tell him of your specific needs like God I need a new cellphone (hehehe!). Be patient because He only has three answers for you - YES, NO and WAIT.

SEEK - like what it says look or find a way in order for you to acquire what you wanted from God. Do not be a spoon-fed.

KNOCK - this means you should make an action. You have asked and God will provide a way for you to have it (if He answered Yes). You have searched and found the way, now it's time to move - make an action.

You may be asking, what is the point of asking and making you seek and make an action? It's like you are doing it yourself and not God.

With all your strength and wisdom, you can really achieve something but if God doesn't want you to have it - you can't have it even to the best of your strength - even to the best of your knowledge. It's not that He doesn't want you to have what you asked for - He just knows it's not good for you. If God grants it, be thankful coz it is your reward and if God didn't give it to you, still be thankful coz like a parent, He knows what's good for you.

Happy New Year! May all of you find your way to your prayers and have more blessings from God. God bless you all.

Here is a song for everyone.

SEEK YE FIRST

Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Allelu, alleluia

Man does not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Allelu, alleluia

Ask and it shall be given unto you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you
Allelu, alleluia

Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Allelu, alleluia

Man does not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Allelu, alleluia

This is a great reminder. And you have a great site :) Whenever I pray for something, I always end with Lord thy will be done and not my own will. By doing this, I still give Him the final decision :)

Thank you for dropping by on my site and for your words of encouragement :)
